Headphones are the hot market for home audio now.  With everyone carrying a media player, either separate or integrated into their smartphone, most people now get the majority of their music from a portable device it seems.  Manufacturers have been aware of this and have started to produce an amazing variety of headphones to take advantage of this growing market.  Focal is one of the most respected speaker companies in the market today, so it was no surprise to see them enter the personal audio market with their Focal Spirit One headphone.

Of course just because they can do regular speakers well doesn’t mean that they can automatically do headphones well.  Has Focal been able to adapt their speaker knowledge to headphones well, providing a high quality listening experience for people that don’t have space for speakers?  Or have they simply tried to capitalize on the market and failed?  My review of the Focal Spirit One is now up at Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity and has my full take on their entry into this market.
