Sony BDP-S790 Review

By Chris Heinonen on September 17, 2012

For an AV journalist it’s pretty easy to say what player people should buy when they ask for a Blu-ray player: something from Oppo.  Of course, not everyone can afford one, or needs all the features it offers, or they want better online streaming support.

For those it is a much harder proposition with many options to choose from.  One option is the Sony BDP-S790 Blu-ray player.  Featuring 4K upscaling among its features, this is Sony’s top-of-the-line player for 2012, and I feel it’s the best non-Oppo player that I’ve had the ability to test.  Selling for under $250, go read the Sony BDP-S790 review at Secrets of Home Theater to see why I think it is so great.
