Sometimes you want to feel the bass in your home theater, and sometimes you want enough bass that people sitting on the couch on a different floor get a massage.  Installing a pair of SUB1s in my home theater gave me the best bass I’ve heard at home, and if I wanted to the rest of the house knew it as well.  My full review is over at Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity, complete with bench tests and more details.
